Ayre Air Conditioner 3 Year On-site Warranty

Warranty extension

At the time of purchase, you may extend your warranty from 3 years to 5 years by purchasing the 2 year warranty extension. Simply select your model and add the item to your cart before you complete the check-out procedure.

Ayre warranty terms & conditions

The Ayre warranty protects against defects in design, materials and workmanship for a period of three years for domestic and residential use, and for a period of one year for commercial use from the date the equipment is purchased by the original owner.

Equipment defects covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Ayre Conditioning Pty Ltd without cost to the owner for parts. The repair or replacement shall be performed during normal business hours by Ayre Conditioning Pty Ltd or a repair agent authorised by Ayre Conditioning Pty Ltd.

Any Ayre parts or Ayre equipment replaced under this warranty will be warranted in accordance with the provisions of this warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period.

This warranty DOES NOT cover:

  • Damage or problems or unsatisfactory performance caused to the equipment by faulty or incorrect external wiring, incorrect power supply, voltage fluctuations, over voltage transients, or electromagnetic interference not originating within the equipment
  • Damage or problems caused as a result of installation by non-qualified or non-licensed tradesmen or the installer failing to install equipment correctly
  • Damage or problems caused by use of an accessory, component or equipment not supplied or manufactured by Ayre Conditioning Pty Ltd
  • Damage or problems caused by storm, fire, flood vandalism, misuse, negligence, earthquake, war, vermin, or foreign matter entering the equipment (e.g. dirt and moisture)
  • Damage or problems caused by failure to maintain the equipment in good order, including ensuring filters are kept clean and gas pressure is maintained
  • Damage or deterioration to the external surfaces or refrigeration coils caused by normal weathering
  • Any additional labour charges or service work carried out that has not been approved through Ayre Conditioning Pty Ltd
  • Equipment which has been installed in a transportable or mobile application (e.g. caravan or boat)
  • Equipment that has been re-installed at a location other than the original location
  • Damage or problems or unsatisfactory performance resulting from misapplication of the equipment(e.g. under-sized or over-sized units)
  • Equipment that has been installed by a non-accredited or non-authorised installer, electrician or plumber
  • Any unit found to be low on gas (refrigerant) or without any refrigerant due to a faulty installation
  • The correction of any non-product fault or problem

Owner responsibilities

The owner is responsible for the correct installation, operation, and regular maintenance of the equipment. This includes:

  • Ensuring that the equipment is only installed by qualified and licensed tradesmen and to obtain plumbing and electrical certificates
  • Operation and maintenance of the equipment in accordance with the operating instructions
  • Regular cleaning of the air filters (yearly) and replacement when necessary
  • Regular checking of gas pressure (at least once a year). This must be conducted by an authorised licensed refrigeration technician or an approved Ayre service agent
  • Ensuring that the air inlet and outlet on the outdoor unit is kept clear of any obstruction (e.g. dirt, leaves, plants)
  • Ensuring that the condensation drain is kept clean

If the owner fails to abide by their responsibilities the warranty becomes void
