Ayre ducted systems provide the ultimate in air conditioned comfort.
Ducted systems are the most convenient and economical way to heat or cool your home all year round.
The indoor unit is usually installed in the ceiling cavity or under the floor, with flexible ductwork distributing air via discreet vents throughout the house. The outdoor unit is installed outside the house, and the system is controlled via a wall mounted LCD controller and remote control.

Why is it better than an
evaporative cooler in summer?
- Refrigerated units keep working on humid days, compared to evaporative coolers which stop working effectively
- Does not leave moisture in the air
- No need to leave windows open
- Uses smaller ducts – easier and cheaper to install than evaporative coolers. On a two story house it is much easier to run ductwork to the ground floor
- Smaller ductwork means smaller holes in your ceiling
Why is it better than a
gas heater in winter?
- Uses a single set of ducts/vents for both heating and cooling
- No need to buy a gas heater, pay for another installation, and pay for another unnecessary system of ducts and vents in your home
- Cheaper to run than a gas heater – in heating mode, this system only uses only 4.35kW input of power
Toshiba compressor
The compressor is the heart of the air conditioner.
Located in the outdoor unit, the compressor pumps refrigerant
to the indoor unit.
Like all Ayre air conditioners, this unit features a Toshiba compressor made in Japan.
7 day timer
- Schedule the air conditioner to run automatically, according to your weekly routine
- The system can be programmed to start and stop at various times throughout the day, for each day of the week
- For example – Mondays to Fridays, you could set it to start 30 minutes before you wake up, or before you arrive home from work in the evening
Additional features
- Space-saving design allows flexible installation in limited spaces
- Runs on standard 240V single phase power – no need for 3 phase power
- Includes both a backlit LCD wall controller and LCD remote control
- Three speed variable airflow
- Auto mode operation – the system will automatically select heat/cool/dry mode based on current indoor conditions
- Sleep function
- Preheat function – when heating mode is selected, the indoor heat exchanger is preheated before the fan is activated. This ensures only warm air is discharged
- Auto-defrost – when heating mode is selected in icy conditions, the system will defrost automatically. When defrosting cycle has finished, normal heating mode will resume
- Healthy air filtration system which traps fine airborne particles. This can help to reduce the triggers that affect asthma and allergy sufferers
- Dehumidifier function for humid conditions
- Auto-restart after a power failure
- Self-diagnostic function in the unlikely event of a problem

New Energy Star Rating Calculation
As of April 1st 2010, there have been changes to the way energy star ratings are calculated. While the appearance of the energy labels is similar, the revised calculation will reduce the number of stars on the label for the same energy consumption.
